Who is The Lakes Community Association?

In 2008, a group of resident in The Lakes Community came together to start a collective approach to being heard as a neighbourhood within Lake Country. In 2009 The Lakes Community Association was incorporated under the BC Society Act. The primary objective of The Lakes Community Association over the years has been to work in partnership with The District of Lake Country to achieve the completion of our Park space. We recognized that The Lakes neighbourhood required space for families; safe places for children to play and space where community members can safely gather. We have also hosted numerous community clean-up events each spring along with a pancake breakfast, we have developed an annual community garage sale and with great success we have hosted summer Movie in the Park events. As our Park space nears completion we look forward to focusing in other areas.
